‘The Vanisher’ is an apparition of mystery and surprise that can be seen haunting the Tudor Bar of The Old Bell on Sadler Gate in Derby.
There have been numerous sightings of the Victorian Lady dressed in blue wearing a black ribbon pendant and whether it be for torment or amusement she is said to appear in the bar infront of both staff and customers and then suddenly vanish out of sight.
Nobody truly knows what happened to The Vanisher and how she died, nor why she disappears so quickly upon sight but the eerie appearances of the Victorian lady in blue continue to this day.
