‘The burning girl of Whitby’ tells the tale of a young girl ‘Mary’ in 1917 whose long golden hair caught fire whilst warming food in the oven of her local bakery on Grape Lane.
She tragically died from the extensive burns she suffered.
Her restless spirit continues to haunt Grape Lane where the smell of smoke and burning hair can still be smelt moments before she appears
